The making of a new landscape, this time in an urban context, and its relationship to the occupation of space both for everyday activities and for an annual event was our main concern in the project for a New Athletic Park at the old stadium of GCO. The project is set at a historical site of a neglected stadium along the coastal edge of the city centre of Limassol. The aim of the project was to re-qualify the site as an important link between the residential area and the coastal public space allowing an articulated transition between the park, urban landscape and interior areas. This transition blurs the boundaries between natural and artificial environments and offers a new vision of artificial landscape and the coastal areas of the city.
